OUR STORY
Pet Cremation Services in Clarks Summit, PA
I’m Lauren, and together with my husband, Chris, we founded Aspen Meadows Pet Cremation and Memorial Services in memory of our beloved German Shepherd, Aspen.
On June 17, 2025, Aspen comforted families at our funeral home for the very last time. Just hours later, we rushed him to the emergency veterinary clinic, where we learned he was suffering from a silent, aggressive, and terminal cancer. With shattered hearts, we made the agonizing choice to let him go.
When we left the clinic that night, we brought Aspen with us. We placed him gently into refrigeration at the funeral home, because we couldn’t imagine leaving him behind without honoring the love he had given so freely. Aspen wasn’t just a pet, he was our therapy dog, our best friend, our steady companion, a member of our funeral home family, and a source of comfort to countless grieving hearts.
Saying goodbye to him reminded us that grief cannot, and should not, be rushed. It needs time, tenderness, and space to breathe. By bringing Aspen back into our care, by giving our family, staff, and even our other dog the chance to say goodbye, we discovered something we never thought possible: a measure of peace and control amid tragedy. That gift of time allowed us to mourn, to honor, and to begin the long process of healing together. From that painful farewell,
Aspen Meadows was born—a promise that no person and no family should ever have to face the loss of a beloved pet without dignity, compassion, and care.

Parting Stones
Parting Stone offers families choosing cremation a 100% alternative to conventional ash. Our service solidifies the full amount of remains into a form that resembles a collection of smooth stones. The number of stones returned is based on the volume of remains provided. The appearance of the solidified remains varies naturally from pet to pet in shape, color, and texture, making each collection uniquely beautiful. Solidified remains are an alternative to conventional ash.
Have the ashes of a dog at home? It's never too late.
Honoring Our First Companion, Chase
At Aspen Meadows, every companion we serve leaves an imprint on our hearts, and Chase will always hold a special place in ours. As the very first pet entrusted to our care, Chase’s memory continues to remind us why this work matters: to honor the deep bonds we share with our animal companions, and to celebrate their lives with the dignity, respect, and love they deserve.

Chase Kane
May 3rd, 2010 - September 22nd, 2025
"We are endlessly grateful for the 15 wonderful years we shared with Chase. From the day we brought him home, he has been our happy, bold, and stubborn boy, from his ankle-biting puppy days to his final moments, tongue hanging out, true to form. Chase spent his last days doing what he loved most: relaxing on the couch with his brother Max, following the kids for every dropped snack, and soaking in all the love from his family. He lived each moment with joy and left us with countless memories and a lifetime of love."
We are deeply honored to have helped his family say goodbye with love, and to have shared in remembering a life so full of joy. Chase’s legacy continues to inspire the heart behind all we do here.
