Richard "Mitch" Fuller

Richard Miller "Mitch" Fuller, 65, of Clarks Summit, died Saturday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center shortly after arrival.

Born April 13, 1956, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Charles and Janice Miller Fuller. A lifelong Clarks Summit resident, he was 1974 graduate of Abington Heights High School and he received his degree in business administration and accounting from Penn State University. He previously was employed by RCA - Thomson Electronics where he was a shipping supervisor. He later, before retirement, worked in shipping at the Walmart Distribution Center.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Clarks Summit, and VFW Abington Memorial Post 7069. An avid golfer, he golfed in various leagues over the years. He was a true Penn State fan who also cheered for the Dallas Cowboys or Baltimore Orioles or whatever team was leading. An outdoorsman, Mitch enjoyed a competitive tennis match and was fond of kayaking where we would often enjoy the beauty of nature while reading his bible. "The mayor," as known by some, was always smiling cheerful and happy. His gentle smile will be sadly missed.

Surviving are a son, Andrew Fuller, Clarks Summit; two daughters, Jennifer Fuller and husband, Jacob Sipple, White Haven; Angela Earl and husband, Kenneth, Scranton; a brother, Charles Fuller and wife, Ellen, Mercerville, N.J.; his companion, Laurie Martino; two grandsons, Ethan King and Cameron Fuller; a granddaughter, Ava Earl; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sister, Alice Eck Crocker.
