Serge Markov

Serge Markov 68, Clarks Summit, died Sunday, after being stricken ill at home. His loving wife of 47 years was the former Valentina Belova.

Born October 28, 1946 in Moscow, Russia, he was the son of the late Alexander and the late Irene Markov.

He moved to this country in 1991 from Russia and he had owned and operated the Curry Donut Shop, Old Forge. He was educated in the Moscow, Russia Schools and received his doctorate degree in Physics from Moscow State University.

Also surviving are two daughters: Irene Markov Shevchenko and husband Andrei Moscow, Russia and their three children, Alice, Philippe, and Margaret all at home and Anastasia "Stacy" Markov, Los Angelis, California, a brother: Igoe Markov, Moscow,

The family will receive relatives and friends, Thursday 6-8 pm at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Private services will be held with entombment in the Glenwood Mausoleum.
