Robert Christopher Strickland, 51, of Jermyn, formerly of Dalton, passed away Thursday after a battle with lung cancer at the home of his loving mother-in-law, Marilyn Woellmer. He was the husband of Denise Ruth Strickland, formerly Denise Ruth Davis. They celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary June 22, 2021.
He was born Oct. 10, 1970, to Arthur Strickland and Kathleen Healey Strickland. He attended Scranton Technical School. He worked as a handyman and mechanic for more than 35 years.
He is survived by four sons, Chad Strickland and his girlfriend, Savannah Holston of Clarks Summit, Kyle Strickland of Dickson City, Marc Davis of Scranton, and Christopher Parent of Philadelphia. He is also survived by his daughter, Kelly Strickland and her boyfriend, Jay Hiller of Scranton, and the two have a daughter together, Everly Rose Hiller, who is Robert's granddaughter who he loved dearly.
Robert has two brothers, Arthur Strickland and his wife, Sandy of Hunlock Creek and Michael Strickland along with his wife Becky of Scranton; and his sister, Lisa Mesina and her husband, Gary of Pittsburgh.
A private service will be held.
