Robert Wayne Bass, 62, of Clarks Summit, died on Monday, March 7, 2022. He was born May 10, 1959 in Takoma Park, Maryland; he was the son of Robert and Georgia Bass, Clarks Summit.

Robert graduated from Ridgewood High School, New Jersey, with an interest in graphic arts and printing. He was employed by Proctor and Gamble, Mehoopany, until he could pursue a career in printing. Robert then owned a graphic arts and print shop, Logo Master, in Tunkhannock and later was employed at Kevin’s Worldwide in Scranton.

He enjoyed camping and canoeing along the Susquehanna River. While spending time outdoors he became interested in astronomy and often reminded us of a special happening in the sky on a particular night. Robert was also an avid auto racing enthusiast. He was passionate about service to others, always ready to lend a hand to those in need, with transportation and life’s tasks, never shying away from hard work.

Surviving in addition to his parents, is one son Brian Bass of Virginia, serving in the U.S. Army; one brother, Alan Bass of Virginia and one grandson, Jarred Kraft of Washington state, serving in the U.S. Marines.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date. A private cremation took place at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
