Rita Gilbride

Rita Jeanne Gilbride, 87, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday at home. She was the widow of Robert "Coach" Gilbride. The couple was married 61 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Driznis Kaminsky. A graduate of Scranton Technical High School, Rita had been employed by the Scranton School District, prior to retirement.

Surviving are five daughters, Rita M. Gilbride, Chester, Vt.; Rose Gilbride, Boulder, Colo.; Eileen Gilbride, Boulder, Colo.; Jeanne (Daniel) Caswell, Ellicott City, Md.; and Diana Gilbride, Auburn Twp.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
