Patrick Jerome Gallagher, 86, Clarks Summit, died peacefully Saturday in The Pines, Clarks Summit.
Born July 2, 1931, in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Martin Joseph and Marie (Moran Murray) Gallagher.
A Clarks Summit resident since 1958, he was educated in St. Paul's School and graduated from Dunmore High School. He honorably served in the Army in the Seventh Cavalry (Custer's 7th) of the First Cavalry Division in the Korean War. He attended the University of Scranton and Columbia University and retired from RCA/Thomson Electronics, Dunmore.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Pines, Clarks Summit, for their kindness and wonderful care they provided Patrick and also the compassionate care provided by the staff of Asera Care.
Surviving are a brother, Martin and his wife, Phyllis, South Abington Twp.; and several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, William.
The funeral will be Wednesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
