Patricia (Twigg) Buck

Patricia "Pat" J. Buck, 99 of Clarks Summit, PA passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024. She was the wife of the late Eugene P. Buck, Sr. "the love of her life," who passed away in 2003. Born August 21, 1924 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Engel) Twigg.

Aside from Brooklyn, she enjoyed living in Somers, NY; Manahawkin, NJ;  No. Myrtle Beach, SC and Clarks Summit, PA. Her final residence at Elan Gardens Senior Living brought her much joy and wonderful friendships. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile and living and loving life to its fullest.

Pat's favorite job was as an AT&T long distance operator during WWII. She loved to volunteer on committees in her church and community. She belonged to the Ladies Guilds of her local parishes, the Garden Club and the Red Hat Society.  She and Gene loved to travel, whether with his Barbershop Quartet engagements or cruising with their close friends. Pat enjoyed sunshine and the beach, gardening, walking, talking, dancing and games of scrabble, bingo and word puzzles.

But her greatest love was spending time with her family. And in that~ she was truly blessed. She is survived by her children: Jacquie (Jim) Verano of Clarks Summit, PA, Kathy (Steve) Ocean of Washington, ME and Gene (Alicia) Buck of Robbinsville, NJ. 14 grandchildren: Bob, Brian and Darren Byrnes, Carolyn (Jason) DiRese, Jared (Kristi) and Ryan (Mary Beth) Verano; Lindsey (Shawn) Hayes; Elijah, Jacob (Jenny) and Kiana Ocean; Clare (Matt) Hilderbrandt, Tori (Alex) Duncan, Tricia (Ryan) Skirtich, and Mary Buck. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren: Dylan, Ava, Ethan DiRese; Justin, Kameron, Cael, Tanner, Alexandra Verano; Harrison, Mason, Brooklynn Hayes; Maggie, Kay Ocean; Elle, Madeleine Hilderbrandt; and Baby Girl Duncan (due in Aug). In addition, she is survived by her loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gene, Pat was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Patty Lynn Buck (who passed in 2019), brothers George (Ann) and James (Kathleen) Twigg; sister-in-law Helen (Tom) Hart; nieces and cousins.

Thank you to the following for all of  Pat's care and support these past few years: Dr. Darlene Dunay, Dr. William Dempsey (Wright Center), Elan Gardens Senior Living and Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab.
