Mary Magdalene Kaczmarek

Mary Magdalene (Bakaisa) Kaczmarek  94, died Wednesday November 8^th at her home in Metuchen, NJ.   She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Stanley Joseph Kaczmarek who died in 2003. 

Born July 22, 1929 in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was the oldest of four daughters born to her late parents, Joseph and Cecelia (Stolarik) Bakaisa    

A  Metuchen resident for 64 years, she was a  graduate of St Mary’s High School, Perth Amboy and Notre Dame  College of Staten Island, New York. She formerly was employed by Bambergers Department Store in Newark, NJ,  where she worked as Executive Secretary to Store Operations.   

Mary is survived by two sisters: Cecelia M. Kerrigan of Iselin, NJ, and Dr. Marge Mingin of West Orange, NJ; her son: Peter J. Kaczmarek of Metuchen, NJ; her daughter: Mary Ann Rogan and husband Dr. Michael J Rogan of North Abington Twp, PA; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday, with Mass at 10 am at St. St. Ann’s Basilica, 1250 St. Ann Street, Scranton to be celebrated by Rev. James J. Paisley, pastor. Interment Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly Township, PA.
