Mary Jane Gregosh Franko, Falls, died Wednesday at home. Her beloved husband, Cyril T. Franko, preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2007. The couple was married more than 52 years, having been married Nov. 19, 1955.

Born in Ransom, daughter of the late John and Anna Tirpak Gregosh, she was educated in Newton-Ransom schools and was a graduate of Newton-Ransom High School, where she was salutatorian of her class. Before retirement, she was employed at McDonald's Pharmacy. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish and faithfully attended Mass at Church of St. Benedict, Newton Twp.

Mary Jane's family was the most important thing in her life. She was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her grandsons were the joy of her life. She spent every possible moment with them. She was devoted to her family and the Blessed Virgin Mary, praying the rosary daily. She enjoyed reading and taking care of her garden and growing flowers.

Surviving are her two cherished grandsons, Kevin Franko and fiancAC.e, Alyse Kuprionas, Falls; and Gregory and wife, Katie Morgan Franko, Tunkhannock; daughter-in-law, Karen Franko Dean and husband, Jack, Falls; a brother, Joseph Gregosh and wife, Helen, Ransom; cousin, Charlene Durdan and husband, John, South Abington Twp.; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her very dear son, Cyril "Sid" Kevin Franko, who died Oct. 28, 1995; and a brother, John Gregosh Jr., who died in 2011.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. from the Church of St. Benedict, Newton-Ransom Boulevard, Clarks Summit. Interment, Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
