Maryann Ketchur 93, Dalton, died Wednesday, in Gardens at Green Ridge.

Born May 31, 1932 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Wanda (Adamski) Ketchur.

Maryann was a graduate of the Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing where she was Vice President of her class. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education from Miseracordia University and a Masters Degree in Human Resources Administration from the University of Scranton. She was employed for over forty years athte Clarks Summit State Hospital and held many positions including Psychiatric Nurse Instructor, In Service Director and Director of Nursing Education.

Maryann was involved in many organizations and leadership positions including but not limited to President of partnership for Clarks Summit State Hospital, President of Pennslvania Association of Retired State Employees for lackawanna and Wyoming Counties, member of Dalton Professional and Business Association, Friends of Dalton Library, Member of Conscious Conversation Group, Volunteer at Griffin Pond Human Society, Member of Waverly Womans Club, Member of Laurel Garden Club, Parishioner of Our Lady of the Abingtons, Volunteer at the Waverly Attic Shop and St. Joseph's Contributions, Humane Society and Padre Pio Chapel.

She is survived by her siblings, George Ketchur (Rosemary), Michaelene Mastriani (Ralph), Elaine Stout (Michael), Patricia Ketchur, Dianne Green (Harold), John Ketchur, Linda McDonough; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters Barbara Petroski and Joan Marie Ketchur.

The funeral will be on Friday at 3pm at Our Lady of the Abingtons Church, 207 Seminary Rd, N Abington Twp., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.
