Marilyn Coble, September 29, 2025
Marilyn Coble, 84, of Falls, passed into the arms of her Savior on Monday, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Rev. Bernard N. Coble, and the two enjoyed many years of serving together in local churches and in Christian camp ministry.
Born December 12, 1940 in Falls, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Eugene and Doris (Carpenter) Miller. Marilyn graduated from Bob Jones University with a bachelors degree in education. She worked as a substitute teacher for the Tunkhannock School District. What Marilyn was truly known for was her baking, specifically the business she ran from her home, Cakes for All Occasions.
Survivors include her children Barbara Chodan of Lititz, Timothy Coble and wife Katherine of Hermitage, TN, Evelyn Brown and husband David, of Tannersville; sister, Rose E. Miller of Falls; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be on Saturday at 11am at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit, with Pastor Kurt Seboe presiding. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10-11am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Schultzville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Falls Senior Center, c/o Twila Watkins 2813 Sullivan Trail, Falls, PA 18615.
