Marie Annette (Cino) Manning, 76, of North Abington Township, died on Monday, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late James Manning who died in 2019. They were married for 45 years.
Born March 24, 1945 in Clarks Summit, Marie was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Krukonis) Cino. She earned her nursing degree in Detroit, Michigan and served her residency there prior to returning back to the area.
Marie was a parishioner of St. John Vianney Parish and taught CCD for many years, preparing children for Reconciliation and Communion.
She enjoyed playing cards, specifically 14 and gin rummy, sunbathing, and gardening. Most of all, Marie loved her grandchildren and loved cooking for them.
Surviving are two sons: James Manning and wife Jamie of N. Abington Twp. and Michael Manning and wife Brooke of Dublin, CA; four grandsons: Michael, Chase, Jett and Hunter Manning; one brother: Charles Cino and wife Karen; one sister: Frances Cunningham and husband Gary; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving husband, Marie was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Manning, and infant sister, Bernadette Cino.
The funeral will be on Friday at 12pm from St. John Vianney Parish, 704 Montdale Road, Scott, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Rev. Michael J. Kerwin, pastor. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5 to 7pm at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue Clarks Summit, PA 18411. A private cremation will take place following Mass at Jennings-Calvey’s on-site crematory.
