Marianne (Faust) Stampien, 55, Clarks Summit, died Wednesday at home. For 32 wonderful years, she was the beautiful and loving wife of Dr. Jan i��C. Stampien.Born Feb. 7, 1958, in Coaldale, daughter of the late Paul and Clara (Schaeffer) Faust, Marianne was a graduate of North Penn High School, Lansdale, and Temple University Dental Assistant Program. She received her nursing degree from Montgomery College.She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clarks Summit, the Sant' Andrea Society, the Country Club of Scranton and chaired the Waverly Community Holiday House Tours. She was active in the Dental Society Auxiliary, having served as past president and chaired the Dental Society National Children's Dental Health Month. As an RN, she provided private duty and school nursing, as well as nursing services for the Clarks Summit Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy. For many years, she volunteered her services as the Tooth Fairy to promote dental hygiene education at venues ranging from Hatchy Malachy, many elementary school visits and the Scranton Children's Library.Marianne had a special flair for stylish fashion and gracious elegance. She was always funny and happy, and it was her way with family and friends that made them laugh and be happy with her. She was quick to share her smile and friendly hospitality with all. A caregiver at heart, her gentle kindness and warm smile will be sadly missed.Also surviving are a daughter, Ashley Stampien, Philadelphia; a sister, Adrienne Fertig, and husband, Rick, Hatfield; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Stampien, Old Forge; her sister-in-law, Denise Stampien Coco, and husband, Frank, New Canaan, Conn.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death her father-in-law, Dr. Stanley Stampien.The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 205 W. Grove St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. George J. Matthews Jr., pastor. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral Home, 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
