Margie Faith Bowen (maiden name Taylor), lovingly known as “Peaches” by her devoted husband, passed away peacefully at home on July 15, 2025, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 80 years old.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Margie spent the early part of her life in Taylor before settling in Dalton, Pennsylvania, where she lived for the past 57 years. She was the cherished wife of Charles Daniel Bowen, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership.

Margie was a proud graduate of Moosic-Riverside High School and went on to earn her associate degree in accounting from Keystone Junior College. Her professional life was marked by dedication and excellence, having served in the finance departments of Keystone Junior College and Marworth Treatment Center for over 30 years.

Margie was a woman of great faith and a longtime member of the Dalton Baptist Church until its closing. She then became an active member of Clarks Summit United Methodist Church. Her life was one of service, love, and adventure. She had a deep passion for traveling, having visited every state in the U.S. and many parts of the world. She found joy in spending time with family, national parks, knitting, and water aerobics, and was known for her quiet strength, sharp mind, and loving spirit.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Daniel Bowen; her children, Bradley Bowen (Terry) and Heather Hunter (Susie); and her beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, and Kyle Bowen. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who held her dear. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Taylor and Gladys Poehlmann, and her twin sisters and twin brothers-in-law, Arleen Corby (Mervin) and Audrey Corby (Marvin), and sister Naomi.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit, PA. Family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
