Joy I. Beeching

 Joy I. Beeching, 78, of Milford, Pennsylvania, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023. She was a resident of Milford Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Her family was by her side.
Joy was born born Aug. 14, 1945, in Utica, to the late Roy and Lois (Kingsly) Jones.
She was a graduate of New Berlin Central School, New Berlin.
She worked for many years at Chase Memorial Nursing Home until her retirement.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Berlin and greatly enjoyed services on Angels Acres when weather permitted.
She was an avid baker and enjoyed cooking. She would often bake "goodies" for friends and family. Any holiday or party, event or bake sale would find her baking or cooking up her famous mac & cheese, lasagna, baked beans, sweet breads or rolls.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her children's father, Doug; her husband, George; daughter, Christy; brothers, Francis, Ira (Dorothy), Myron (Barbara), and Clifford (Judy); sisters, Irma (Guy), Louella (Paul), Marie (Buster), and Julie (Paul).
She is survived by her sister, Janette (Erlo) and twin sister, Vicky (Jim); daughter, Connie (Pat); son, James (Theresa); son-in-law, Bob (Ann); grandchildren, Shannon, Patrick, Cody, Derek, Shelby, Kaylee, Brianna, Heather, and Alyssa (Justin); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of New Berlin, 30 S. Main St., New Berlin, at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 22. Pastor Dan Baltich will officiate. A time of fellowship and remembering Joy will follow the service in fellowship hall.
A committal service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 23, in Edmeston Union Cemetery, 1909 NY 80, Edmeston, where she will be laid to rest near her daughter, Christy. Pastor Baltich will again officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joy's name to the First Baptist Church of New Berlin, 30 S. Main St., New Berlin, NY 13411.
A private cremation took place at Jennings Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania at their on-site crematory.
