Jeanne T. (Schreck) Sullivan, 84, of Clarks Summit, died peacefully at home on July 4th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Philip J. Sullivan to whom she was married for 63 wonderful years.
Born October 4th, 1939, in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Kathryn (McGlone) Schreck. She was a graduate of Saint Paul’s High School in Scranton, she formerly was employed by Abington Heights School District where she was transportation secretary.
Jeanne was well known for her amazing cooking, and while she shared some recipes, some will always be kept a secret. She enjoyed time with her family and entertaining during the holidays. In her quiet time, she was an avid reader and enjoyed watching cooking shows. Additionally, she had a green thumb and enjoyed caring for her flowers and plants. She had a special love for her dog Lola.
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides from Compassionate Care Hospice and GEM Comfort Care for their kindness and comfort in her final days.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons: Philip Jr. and wife (Christine Ruminski) Sullivan and grandson Nicholas of Charlotte, NC, and Matthew and wife (Lori Drasba) Sullivan and grandsons Connor and Jake of Clarks Summit, one brother Norman and (Myra) Schreck of NJ. numerous nieces and nephews, a niece Jennifer Boylan and a nephew Gene Curtin with whom she shared special relationships.
She was preceded in death by her sister and brother in-law Anne and Timothy Curtin, nieces and nephews Timothy, Kathy and Michael Curtin and Christy Schreck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday July 10th at 10:30 AM at The Church of St. Benedict, Newton Ransom Blvd., Clarks Summit. The family will receive friends 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the church.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St. Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
