Jacqueline Josephine (Braham) Albano, 93, Clarks Summit, died Thursday in Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore. She was the loving wife of William Alfred Albano, who died July 23, 2003. The couple was married for 60 years.

She was born May 14, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late John and late Matilda (Schiebe) Braham. Jackie moved to South Abington Twp. in 2004 to be near family. A graduate of Long Beach High School, before marriage she had been employed by Sperry Gyroscope, New York, N.Y.

Jacqueline had a beautiful voice, having sung professionally as a young woman and at events at Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club in Manhasset, N.Y. She was a long and loyal volunteer at St. Francis Hospital, Port Washington, N.Y. She was a member of Church of St. Gregory's, Clarks Green.

She loved her family and her kitty, Mica, who was a beloved companion. She was an ardent lover of animals, and spent many hours enjoying Animal Planet on TV. "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy" were a must every night, and she also enjoyed shopping, luncheons and Mohegan Sun. She was a fashion plate and always up to the minute with an inimitable sense of style. A gracious true lady, Jacqueline was a dear and much loved woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are three daughters, Gale A. Jaeger, Ed.D., and husband, Robert, Waverly; Jeryl Ann Bourguet and husband, Alan, Port Washington, N.Y.; Andrea Beth O'Gorman and husband, Michael, Asheville, N.C.; grandchildren, Robert H. Jaeger Jr. (Laura), London, United Kingdom; Marjoree Jacqueline Blinzer (Andrew), Grand Island, N.Y.; Kristin Dorothy Hudspeth (William), Tamarac, Fla.; granddaughter, Danielle Bourguet, Chicago, Ill.; Lauren Bourguet, Adrienne Bourguet, Kevin Bourguet; great-grandchildren, Luke William Hudspeth, Jacqueline Dorothy Blinzler and Jake Robert Hudspeth.

She was also preceded in death by daughter, Wendy Joan Pearson; two brothers, John and Douglas Braham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, to be celebrated by the Rev. John M. Lapera. Interment, St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, N.Y. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
