Henry Edward Jellock Sr., 84, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Facility, Dunmore. He was the husband of Elaine Marchines. His first wife was the former Lenore Bunk, who preceded him in death.
Born July 31, 1933 in Jessup, son of the late Henry and Evelyn Nagurney Dzielak, he was graduate of Throop High School and Johnson Technical School. He honorably served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a prominent area builder known for his quality construction and premier homes that were referred to as a Jellock Home.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Clarks Summit. He was a member of various professional and builders organizations. An avid golfer he was a former member of Elmhurst County Club, the Scranton Canoe Club and Desert Canyon Golf Club, Fountain Hills, Ariz.
The family greatly appreciates the care and kindness provided to Henry by Dr. Linda Barrasse, Dr. Wayne Weston. Dr. Charles Grad his nurse practitioner, Amanda Grippo. A special thank you to the staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their dedication and care.
Also surviving are a son, Henry E. Jellock Jr., Throop; four daughters, Elizabeth (Josh) Katz, Tucson, Ariz.; Jacqueline Williams, Fountain Hills, Ariz.; Carolyn (Larry) Duchnik, Lewistown, Mont.; and Roseanne (Todd) Baron, Throop; a brother, Joseph (Mary Ellen) Jellock, Mount Cobb; two sisters, Marie Davies, Throop; and Dorothy Englehart, Olyphant; grandson, Nole Katz; granddaughter, Laura (Ray) Whittaker; great-grandchildren, Owen, Nathan and Lucas; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at noon from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit, to be celebrated by the Rev. Seth D. Wasnock. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Jessup.
The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
