Fred Holbrook

Fred W. Holbrook, 53, Scranton, died Thursday at Allied Services' facility. Born Feb. 5, 1962, in Montrose, he was the son of the Eva Jane (Magee) Holbrook, Montrose and the late Arthur C. Holbrook.A resident of the Allied Service dorms, Fred enjoyed the outdoors and listening to music. Fred faced life's challenges with a smile and will be sadly missed.Surviving are a sister, Christine Steiner and husband, John, and their son, Brandon, all of Tunkhannock. He was preceded in death by brother, Charles A. Holbrook, who died at the age of 17 in 1976.Services will be private with interment in Montrose Cemetery, Montrose.
