Francesco Pollino

Francesco Pollino, 94, Providence, R.I., died Dec. 14 at the home of his son, Dr. Vincent Pollino, Clarks Summit. He was the loving husband of 65 years of the former Anna Micale.Born in San Pier Nieto, Sicily, Italy, son of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Nastasi) Pollino, he worked for many years in construction for Ralston Co., Rhode Island. He was devoted to his family, and was known for his homemade wine and his gardening skills.Also surviving are three sons, Dr. Vincent Pollino, Clarks Summit; Frank Pollino and wife, Luisa, Johnston, R.I.; and Peter Pollino and ianceI�e, Lisa, Riverside, R.I.; grandchildren, Marybeth Verano, Rebecca and Vincent Pollino, Edgar, Franco, Gregory and John Pollino and Peter Jr. and Kellie Pollino; and five great-grandchildren.He was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Pollino, who was married to Dr. Vincent Pollino.Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Dec. 19 at St. Agnes Church, Providence, R.I., with interment at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, R.I.
