Erma Donvito

Erma Olga Petro Donvito, 90, of La Plume, died Sunday at Allied Skilled Nursing Facility. She was the widow of John Donvito, who died May 13, 2010. The couple was married more than 55 years.Born Oct. 3, 1925, in Duryea, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Franko Petro, she was a graduate of Falls Overfield High School. She formerly owned and operated a beauty shop in Towanda and also was a beautician in Mill City. She was a member of Our Lady of the Abingtons Church.Surviving are nieces, Mary Metzger and husband, Len, Scranton; Jeannette Gutiernez, Frisco, Texas; and Catherine Petro, Harveys Lake; and a nephew, Norbert Petro and wife Valerie, Sierra Vista, Ariz.She was also preceded in death by a brother, Norbert John Petro.The funeral will be Wednesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Abingtons Church, Dalton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Denis Bajkowski. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Twp.The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
