Ellen Tucker

Ellen Louise (Wheeler) Tucker 92 formerly of Clarks Summit died February 6, 2024 at the home of her daughter, Sharon, Zephyrhills, Florida. 

She was the wife of the late William F. Tucker who died June 21,1995. The couple was married over 45 years. 

Born March 4, 1931, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Marion Sarah (Wilbur) Wheeler. Prior to moving to Zephyrhills, Fl. she lived in Pflugerville, Texas for over 10 years and formerly lived in Clarks Summit since 1972 having moved from Hartford, CT.  A 1949 Graduate of East Hartford High School. While living in Hartford Ct., she had been employed as an office clerk for Etna Insurance Company and Pratt- Whitney both of East Hartford Ct. After moving to Clarks Summit, she had worked at John's Fish Pond, Clarks Summit.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church and its women’s Guild, Clark’s Summit and while in Texas the Pflugerville Senior Center. She regularly attended the Abington Knights of Columbus Council 6611 sponsored bingos.             

Surviving; a son: William Paul Tucker, Dalton, three daughters: Denise Trufan (Hank) Charlotte, NC, Sharon Tucker, Zephyrhills, Fl and Alice Pedersen (Kevin) Scranton, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  

She was presided in death by two brothers two brothers: Paul Leslie Wheeler and Samuel Howard Wheeler both were formerly of Connecticut,

The graveside service will be Saturday at 11:00 am from Clarks Green Cemetery, Clarks Green, with services by Deacon Leo Lynn.
