Elizabeth J. Cianci, 89, of Clarks Summit, PA, died March 1st, 2017, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Scranton, PA.
Betty was born in Lancaster, PA, July 20th, 1927. Predeceased by parents George Gaintner, Sr. and Myrtle, brother George Gaintner, Jr., and her beloved husband William I. Cianci.
She graduated from Ridley Township High School in 1945 where she was a cheerleader and National Honor Society recipient. She married her high school sweetheart William ("Willie") Cianci on September 10th, 1949 at The Chapel at Valley Forge.
Betty was a member of Wallingford Presbyterian Church. She worked as the Chief Clerk at the Personnel Department of the University of Pennsylvania from 1945-1954 before becoming a full-time mother.
Betty was a fan of all spectator sports. Other hobbies included crossword puzzles, cooking, baking, reading and golf.
Survivors: Sons: Mark (Dawn), Chris, and Curt (Kirsten); grandchildren: William (Melissa), James (Tiffany), Gabriela, and Marie; and a great-granddaughter: Ava.
Burial: private at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
