Elinor Louise Fox Bewick, 78, Waverly and Maplewood, died Thursday at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA. She was the wife of Thomas Patrick Bewick, Waverly. The couple would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on April 21.Born Nov. 17, 1936, in Bellevue, Ohio, daughter of the late George Frederick and Helen Phillips Fox, Ellie moved to Waverly in 1997 from Bowie, Md., where she and her family lived 32 years. She was a graduate of Bellevue High School and attended Ohio State University. She was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church and Waverly Women's Club, where she enjoyed being a volunteer at the attic shop at the Comm.She enjoyed the outdoors, spending the summer months at Lake Henry, Maplewood. Her passions were gardening and caring for her pets and all wildlife. Ellie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished many good times with her family and friends. She was a great cook who enjoyed preparing family meals. Her gentleness will be sadly missed.Also surviving are two daughters, Amy Sauers and husband, Scott, Lake Ariel; and Becky Lally and husband, James, Morristown, N.J.; a son, Drew Bewick and wife, Suzanne, Alexandria, Va.; a brother, George Frederick Fox Jr. and wife, Helena, Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Barbara Spehr, Lewes, Del.; four grandchildren, Will and Jeff Sauers and Brendan and Jacqueline Bewick; nieces and nephews.The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Waverly United Methodist Church, 103 Church St., Waverly, with services by the Rev. Brent Stouffer, pastor, Clarks Green United Methodist Church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Arrangements are being made by Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.Memorial contributions may be made to Waverly United Methodist Church, P.O.
