Dale A. Sherman

Dale A. Sherman, 68, of Clarks Summit, died on Monday, in Geisinger Community Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Martha Reed Sherman.

Born August 31, 1953 in Nicholson, he was the son of the late Raymond and Helen May (Myers) Sherman.

Dale worked at Pallman’s Farm in Clarks Summit as a laborer for most of his life. He loved fishing and hunting. Dale was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved his children and family dearly.

Surviving are his children: Kimberly Sherman of Duryea, Pamela Sherman of Pittston, Stacie Sherman of Pittston, Michael Sherman of Clarks Summit and Donna Sherman of Clarks Summit; brother: Ralph Sherman of Tunkhannock; sisters: Lois Sherman Chabal, Dorothy Sherman of Factoryville and Gladys Mason of Stanford, NY; grandchildren: Cortney Elia, Christopher Faux, Ashley Faux, Ronald Bulford, Kayla Bulford, Hailey Walling, and Sierra Walling; and great grandchildren: Autumn, Riley, Jaxon, Linkon, Roman, Jillian, Claire, and Rose-Mary.

 He is preceded in death by a son, Dale Sherman, Jr., brothers, William, Frank, Raymond, Giles, Harold, and Wayne Sherman, and sisters, Mildred, Evelyn and Betty.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 22nd at 2 PM at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. A private cremation will take place at Jennings-Calvey’s onsite crematory.
