Clara Louise Kozlosky 93, Clarks Summit, died Saturday, in Abington Manor. Her Husband of 58 years, David D. Kozlosky, died February 22, 2013.Born April 3, 1933, in Dalton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Julia (Zalewski) Matylewicz. A graduate of Dalton High School. After raising her children Clara was employed by the Abington Heights School District in the school cafeterias. Clara after retiring from the school district, was a caregiver and provided person care for area residence. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Snows Parish, Clarks Summit and its Women's Guild and regularly attended the Friday Morning Company. She enjoyed volunteering at the annual Country Bazaar. An active member of the Abington Senior Center, she had served on the Site Council Advisory Board for several years. Clara greeted others with her gentle friendly smile. Members of the Senior Center enjoyed her monthly reminder and update telephone call regarding board meetings. Clara enjoyed traveling with her loving husband, family gatherings and enjoyed cooking for them. She enjoyed the outdoors, spending time in her garden. She enjoyed the happy times she had shared with her family. Her gentle smile will be sadly missed.
Surviving; three daughters; Karen Sewack, Greenfield, Township; and her companion, Gary Wallis, Crystal Lake; Ellen Jackson (Gary), Scotrun; Susan Teska (Mark), Baldwinsville, NY ; two granddaughters, Samantha Sewack, Jermyn; and Molly Teska, East Rochester, NY; a grandson David Teska (Katie) Baldwinsville, NY; a great great granddaughter Lilly Petrisky, Jermyn; nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death; a son in law Joseph Sewack, a sister Ann Carpenter, and two brothers, Barney and Stanley Matylewicz
The funeral will be Friday, August 28 with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Scott Township.
