Clair Moore, Jr

Clair George Moore Jr., 61, Jermyn, died Thursday in Geisinger Community Medical Center.

Born Dec. 8, 1954, in Batavia, N.Y., he was the son of Clair G. Moore Sr., Wellsboro, and the late Iva (Short) Moore. He lived in Jermyn, and was formerly of Wellsboro. Before his illness, he worked as a cook for area restaurants.

An avid reader, Clair also liked working crossword puzzles.

Also surviving are a son, Perry Moore; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Moore Vannatter, both of Jermyn: two brothers, Perry, Texas; and Michael, Arizona; four sisters, Sandy Casher, Cindy Baker, Cora English and Laura Moore, all of Wellsboro; two granddaughters, Casandra Moore and Samantha Vannatter; a grandson, Jessie Vannatter Jr.

He was also preceded in death by infant son, Christopher Moore.

Services and interment will be in Wellsboro at a later date.Arrangements are entrusted to the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
