Carmen Rodriguez Cabrera

Our mother Carmen Rodriguez Cabrera 50, Allentown, formerly of the Bronx, NY.  Sadly passed away Friday October 6th 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital -Cedar Crest, Allentown,   

Born January 29, 1973 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Norberto and Nilsa M. (Cabrera) Rodriguez, Allentown.  Shew was a graduate of Taft High School, Bronx New York City. She formerly was a customer service representative for Polar Bear Cooling Services, NY.

Carmen was an incredible human being with a remarkable heart. One of the most important things Camen valued greatly was being a mother & grandmother. She was a mother of 6 & grandmother of 8. She was a good mother & even greater grandmother. She always made sure with her best efforts to show her loved ones how much she cared & loved them. Carmen was one of a kind. Her laugh was so beautiful & so contagious that it made people around her feel better. Carmen enjoyed cooking, playing video games with her grandchildren/ children & crocheting. Carmen loved music. Her favorite artist was Marc Anthony a salsa musician singer. Carmen valued family & was a anchor in ours. Carmen was a warrior. Things were difficult at times & she found the faith & will to push through. Carmen brought happiness to so many people. Her beautiful smile, charisma & love will be missed by many. She will be greatly missed. She worked for Polar Bear cooling & had a brief career as a service representative for a restaurant. 

Was preceded in death by daughter: Paula Rodriguez. Surviving are two sons: Efrain Cedeno & wife Katherine, Bronx, NY; Jose Cabrera & wife Alexa, Clarks Summit; three daughters: Yanilsa Cabrera, London England, Ashley Cabrera,  Allentown; and Wendy Cabrera, Allentown, two sisters: Cathy Rodriguez & Husband Phil, Queens, NY and Annie Velez, Allentown; 8 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.   

A blessing service will be Saturday at 3:30pm at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit. The family will receive relatives and friends, Saturday 3 pm to 5 pm.  Cremation will take place following the viewing and service at the onsite crematory at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Clarks Summit, PA
