Carlton W. Evans, Jr.

Carlton W. Evans, Jr., 63, of Clarks Summit, died on Saturday, at home after complications from a medical procedure.  

Born in Allentown, he was the son of Carlton W. and Alice Ann (Nodolski) Evans, Sr. He graduated from Abington Heights High School in 1979 where he played trombone in the marching band and then Carl earned his degree from Williamsport Community College in 1981. 

Carl worked for 27 years at TRL Trucking as a driver and a dispatcher, followed by Bolus Trucking. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Snows Parish in Clarks Summit. 

Carl enjoyed model trains. 

Surviving in addition to his parents is a son, Jacob Carlton Evans of Pittston; one brother: David Evans (Wendy) of Glen Allen, VA.  

He was preceded in death by brothers, Michael and Brian Evans.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Snows Church, St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice. 

The funeral will take place on Saturday, April 6, at 10am at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4-6pm and Saturday from 8:30-9:15am at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit.
