Barbara Ann Brophy, 87, of Dickson City, died on Thursday, in Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was the wife of the late Robert Brophy who died in 2000.
Born November 4, 1938 in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ann (Pijar) Tuleya. She graduated from Dickson City High School and business school. Barbara worked for International Correspondence Schools before moving to New Jersey and taking on the role of Human Resources manager for Royal Foods.
Barbra was a wonderful, loving woman, who cherished having her daughter Denise, son in law, Michael, and grandkids visiting for summer breaks. She also enjoyed trips traveling to Atlantic City, Las Vegas and the racetrack with her husband and family. Barbara especially loved having everyone over for Thanksgiving dinner. Her homecooked meals were always delicious.
Barbara was loved by many, and she will be missed deeply. May we all find comfort in knowing that Barbara is now reunited with her husband and children. The family would like to especially thank her caregiver, Carol Vrabel, for her care and unwavering support to Barbara.
