Anthony Saita

Anthony "Tony" John Saita 48, North Abington Twp., died Monday at home. Born May 14, 1967, in Passaic, N.J., he was the son of Philip and Barbara (Rankin) Saita, North Abington Twp.

He was a 1985 graduate of Abington Heights High School and studied psychology at Bloomsburg University and the University of Scranton. He was a member of the Church of St. Gregory, Clarks Green.

A devoted son and brother, he faced life's challenges with a loving understanding for family and friends. An orderly person, he strived for perfection. He enjoyed sports and working out at the gym. He was a mentor for others, and enjoyed playing basketball. He was an avid fan of Penn State and the St. Louis Rams. His generosity and kindness will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Also surviving are a sister, Lisa Marie Gonsisko and husband, Keith, Pompton Lakes, N.J.; aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. from Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, to be celebrated by the Rev. John M. Lapera. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
