Andrea Marie Kneiss, 71, Taylor, died Sunday, at home, surrounded by her loving family due to complications with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer. She was the wife of Loren M. Dunham, Jr. The couple were married on May 25, 1996.

Born January 14, 1955, in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Raynak) Kneiss. A 1972 graduate of Old Forge High School, Andrea earned an associate’s degree from Luzerne County Community College. She began her career as a key punch operator for the Social Security office, Wilkes Barre and after 2 years advanced to Tobyhanna Army Depot for 38 years as an Inventory Management Specialist having been employed by the federal government for over 40 years.

Andrea was a faithful member of The Church of St. Gregory, Clarks Green. Andrea had a flair for fashion and during her retirement enjoyed working part time in fashion retail and specialty handbags. An avid skier, she was an active member of the Montage Mountain Ski Patrol and Safety Awareness Team. She treasured the times skiing with lifetime friends and her brother Tom, having skied in Vermont, New York, Colorado, Utah, Innsbruck, Austria; Chamonix, France. An avid traveler, having traveled the world with family and friends. She treasured the happy times shared during family trips to Rehoboth Beach, DE. Also surviving are two brothers, her twin John (Sharon) Kneiss, Wilmington, NC, her care givers and travel companions Thomas (Susan) Kneiss, South Abington Twp; a cousins including, Dr. Joseph Koval, who was like a brother; nieces and nephews; including Jamie Kneiss, Destiny Kneiss, Matthew (Aimee) Kneiss, Charles (Jennifer) Cosmark, Chris (Missy) Cosmark, Jeff (Darcell) Cosmark, Tammy (Gary) Gleckner; great nephews and nieces, Emma Lynn, Aliza, Raelynn, and Jackson Cosmark; Brook (Shannon) Gleckner, Mack (Sophie) Gleckner, Brennan Gleckner and JD Gleckner; great great Nieces and Nephews, Delilah, Tim, Jack and Aubrey Gleckner; and dear friends , Sally, Theresa and Mary.

She was preceded in death by twin infant siblings, Mary and Joseph, a nephew, Timothy Holmes.

The funeral will be Saturday, with Mass at 11 am at the Church of St. Gregory, 330 S. Abington Rd, Clarks Green. Interment: Milwaukee Cemetery, Ransom, Twp. The family will receive relatives and friends, Saturday at the church from 9:30 am till 10:45 am. In honoring Andrea’s celebration of life, guests are asked to wear colorful fashionable attire.
