My heart is torn as I learn of your loss. My mother, Marian Corey (Thomas), was a childhood friend of Marie. Regretfully, at the time of my Mother's passing in 2013 was the last time I spoke with Marie. The years and the miles didn't seem so great between them. When we visited Dalton my Mom would spend as much time with Marie as she did with her own family. They were quite the compliment! Marie will always have a special place in my heart and memories. Her kindness and friendship towards us never feigned. My mother on occasion would get on a jag about out living all her friends. I would then remind her that Marie was still going strong, and she would settle right in with a sense of peace and a smile. On a regular basis my Mom would remind me to call Marie after her time had come, I kept that promise, Marie comforted me ! What a gal! Now they're together, sitting in God's kitchen giggling. Take care, God bless. Kim
