Magdaline Pedley

Magdaline M. (Miluszusky) Pedley, 86, of South Abington Twp., died Thursday at home. Her husband of 48 years, Girard Francis Pedley, died June 30, 2006. Born Dec. 19, 1928, in Pleasant Mount, she was the daughter of the late William and Theoflia (Standish) Miluszusky. She lived in South Abington over 48 years and was a graduate of Pleasant Mount High School. She was a stay-at-home mother and later was employed at Thomson Electronics, formerly RCA Electronics, Dunmore, for more than 25 years. She was also a faithful member of the Church of St. Gregory, Clarks Green.Maggie lived an active retirement. She enjoyed the company of family and especially her grandchildren. She was often seen working in her yard and visiting with neighbors. She had a knack for baking and a fondness for family pets.Surviving are three sons, Girard F., Blakeslee, John and wife, Jennifer, Broomall; and Mark, Alexandria, Va.; three daughters, Mary Pedley, Haddonfield, N.J.; Karen Evans and husband, Marshall, Rosemont; and Ann Marie Jenkins and husband, Matthew, Clarks Summit; a brother, Raymond Miluszusky, Lawton, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Declan and Julian Evans, Kyle, Katianne and William Pedley and Maura and Collin Jenkins; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by eight sisters, Blanche Letkiewicz, Alice Junod, Anna McAndrew, Elizabeth Flynn, Katherine Pedley, Helen Keagan, Mary and Margaret Miluszusky; and six brothers, Frank, John, Leo, William, Joseph and Stanley Miluszusky.The funeral will be Saturday with Mass of Christian Burial at noon at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. The family will receive relatives and friends, Saturday, from 10 to 11:45 at the church.Arrangements are entrusted in the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., Clarks Summit.
