Surviving are his three children- Christina Murri and husband Doug of Sugar Grove, IL., Jennifer Monetta and fianceé Paul Coleman of Factoryville, and Gregory Monetta and wife Ashley of Dalton; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Dominic J. Monetta.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 3 from 4:30 – 6:30 pm at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. A funeral service will be held at 6:30pm at the funeral home. A private interment will take place in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly Twp.

Our deepest sympathy to your family. We have known your dad from the earliest MetLife days. I just saw your Dad two weeks ago, delivering groceries to him. He always had a big smile and a kind heart. You will be in our thoughts during these days and months to come. Sincerely, Mike and Sandy Anglin

To Joe's family. . .what can you say about Joe? He was quite the character and a wonderful mentor. It makes me smile to think of him now - not sadness. I would say to pay attention to the signs he will send you now that he's "up there" with Linda. And know he's watching over you all. Take special care of each other. :-) Chris C.

He was one of the best and heaven is a much better place. RIP Joe

Joe was my 'boss' at Met Life for years and my memories of him during that time are wonderful. He was always so positive and understanding, helpful, incredibly considerate...and funny. Tho I've not seen him recently, I miss him today and will light my special candle for him and remember. My sincere sympathy to his family.
