Emily "Pat" Tierney, 89, of Clarks Green, died Thursday December 27, 2012 in Hospice Community Care, Dunmore. She was the widow of the late William R. Tierney who died August 7, 1990.

She was a member of the Church of St. Gregory, where she sang in the choir and later often attended Our Lady of Snows Church, Clarks Summit. She was a previous member of the Waverly Country Club.

Being the mother of six children, she was a dedicated homemaker who loved caring for her family and friends. She enjoyed her daily walks in her neighborhood,

swimming in her pool and working in her garden. Pat had boundless energy and youthful vitality throughout her life. She took up skiing at 49 as she introduced her children to the sport and began golfing in her 70's. Pat was quick to flash a smile and always ready for a conversation with anyone in the community.
