Deborah Ellen Hoban 48 years, Scranton, died Friday, shortly after being admitted to Regional Hospital of Scranton.

Born February 21, 1965 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the Virginia (Gairens) Erixson, Scranton and the late Joseph Hoban.

She was educated in the Scranton Schools and was a 1983 Graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She formerly worked at Allies Services, Scranton, Montgomery Watson, Jermyn and later The Parker House Pub for over 9 years.

Debbie was a loving daughter and sister who shared her cheerful manner with others. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews especially on a one to one with each of them as she mentored them. She enjoyed handcrafts and spending time with her friends. Her gentleness will be sadly missed.

Also surviving is her brother: Joseph Hoban, and a sister Catherine O'Hara, and husband Gerard all of Scranton; nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her step father Jack Erixson.

The Funeral will be Wednesday from St. Ann's Basilica Parish, 1250 St. Ann Street, Scranton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment Cathedral Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
