Christine Faye (Staff) Schneible, 63, Clarks Summit, died Thursday in VNA Hospice Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was the loving wife of Scott Schneible for more than 33 years.
Born March 19, 1950, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth Kleeman Staff. She resided in Clarks Summit since 1984.
Christine, affectionately known as Kizzie by her family, was a graduate of West Scranton High School and went on to work in the medical field. She became a certified polysomnographer, which she was very proud of, and was employed by Viewmont Sleep Disorder Center, Scranton. Christine also was Dr. Charles Newton's Neuro Diagnostic Technician at the Lackawanna Medical Group and a Neuro Technician at CMC. She spent her life in the medical field, and there are people today living healthier lives and still with us because of her tireless efforts. The family would like to thank Dr. S. Ramakrishna and his wife, Radhika, for their friendship and care in the course of her treatment. Chris was lovingly cared for on a daily basis by her husband and son and nieces, Kerri and Jennifer.
She loved the beach and the ocean, especially Sea Isle City, where she vacationed with her family for the past 30 years. Crossing the bridge into Sea Isle was one of her favorite things. She enjoyed eating at Mike's Seafood, and shopping with cousin Barb at Dalrymple's. There was always a trip to Cape May, and it either ended or began at the Lobster House. Her family will forever treasure those memories.
Also surviving are a son, Scott Schneible; a brother, Thomas Staff and wife, Trish; mother and father-in-law, Seth and Barbara Schneible; brother-in-law, Sandy Schneible and wife, Cathy; a sister-in-law, Robin Ruckle and husband, Larry; two nieces, Kerrie Depoti and husband, Anthony; and Jennifer Palickar; nephews, Jeffrey Staff and Michael Serge; several cousins, including Janet Saar.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer Serge.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit, with services by Rev. Judy Wanck, Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp.
The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411 and Wednesday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the church. CHRIS GOD SAW YOU GETTING TIRED AND A CURE WAS NOT TO BE, SO HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND YOU AND WHISPERED, "CHRIS... .COME TO ME." SO WHEN WE SAW YOU SLEEPING, SO PEACEFULLY FREE FROM PAIN, WE COULD NOT WISH YOU BACK WITH US, TO SUFFER THAT AGAIN. YOUR HEART OF GOLD STOPPED BEATING, YOUR LOVING SOUL TOOK REST, GOD TOOK YOU HOME TO PROVE TO US HE ALWAYS TAKES THE BEST.

I am a friend of Scott Sr, and have known Chris for 18 years. She is tough .....as tough on me as she is on Scott himself. She would constantly chastise us both about our drinking, poor food habits and his smoking. One day she called up my wife Laura(we live in Atlanta GA), and told her to buy a black bikini, and that she had just done so herself.....as Scotty and I were not long for this world, and they were going to spend their time grieving in the Bahamas........absolute classic Chris humor! You will notice that I speak in the present tense with regard to Chris......that is because a piece of Chris resides in all of us ever connected to her, family or friends. She is still here with us all....just close your eyes and you will know it. Bless you Chris for all the love and laughs you gave me and my family......Colin,Laura and Warwick.
