Aimee Larkin, 42, of Dunmore, died Monday in South Abington Twp.

Born April 6, 1971, in Scranton, she was the loving daughter of Patricia Sheridan Larkin, Clarks Summit and the late Dr. Walter J. Larkin Jr., who died in 1999. She was a licensed practical nurse and pursuing her professional career to become a registered nurse at Luzerne County Community College. A graduate of Abington Heights High School, she attended Keystone College and Marywood University.

Aimee was a talented artist and was especially adept at the art of tattooing, having studied under the tutelage of Marc's Tattooing. She had a successful 15-year career in the tattoo industry and opened her own studio in Binghamton, N.Y. Aimee later returned to the Scranton area to begin a career in health care. She was devoted to her work, having worked at Lackawanna Long Term Care and Abington Manor. Aimee was a dedicated nurse and caregiver.

She is also survived by a brother, Walter J. Larkin III, Middletown; a sister, Kathryne Larkin Hall and husband, Edwin, Media; a stepbrother, Peter Larkin and wife, Julia, Allentown; her devoted fianceI�, Edward Thomas, Madison Twp.; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral will be Saturday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Benedict, 1800 Newton-Ransom Blvd., Newton Twp., to be celebrated by Monsignor James J. McGarry. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.

The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit, and Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Snows Parish Building Fund, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA 18411; or Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
